ingredients
8 slices brioche bread (homemade or store-bought)
1/2 cup salted butter
1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
handful of fresh basil leaves, chopped
minced garlic to taste (i used around 10 cloves and it was quite spicy)
instructions
make a compound butter with the parmesan, chopped basil leaves, and minced garlic. i suggest tasting before spreading, to make sure the spice and salt levels are good for you.
spread the compound butter onto the brioche slices.
set oven to a low broil, and set the tray on the top shelf for 4 minutes. depending on the strength of your oven, it could take 3-5, so keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn’t burn!
notes
if you don’t have salted butter, just add sea salt when making the compound butter, again to taste.
